On April 4, 1911, Nellie married Howard Abraham Lang, a second-generation American, at Mosebach's Casino in Philadelphia. The patriarch Henry had died before this wedding, so Nellie was given in marriage by her oldest brother, Anthony. Howard was born in Philadelphia on January 28, 1887. Howard was a stock broker and a member of the Philadelphia Stock Exchange in the 1920s. He later worked in real estate. Nellie and Howard had two children. Howard died on June 7, 1966.

In the 1940s, Freddie married Milton Jere Green. He was born as Milton Goldfarb in St. Louis, Missouri on December 6, 1912, but his father died when he was very young and he eventually took his stepfather's surname, Green. Milton was a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law and practiced law in Philadelphia for a time before joining the marines and serving in the Pacific during World War II, earning various medals. Milton and Freddie had three daughters in Philadelphia during and after Milton's service, but later moved to Bristol, Tennessee where Milton worked as general manager Twin City Auto-Parts.
